A new look at Taiwan

In my eyesIn my eyes Hosted on Zooomr

In recent conversations with friends, I have become quite interested in the differences in how I see things as a foreigner in Taiwan and how the Taiwanese view the same things. One friend told me that he had never seen Taiwan through a foreigner's camera before, and that I seem to notice many things about Taiwan life that he had always taken for granted.

After having been living in Taipei for nearly 18 months, I have finally taken possession of a deliciously well-equipped camera, with which I plan to better document my experiences here. Of course, not all photos here will be specific to Taiwan, but I hope that each will be interesting.

On a special note, I have chosen to use Zooomr as my primary uploading tool, despite a couple of years of consistent Flickr usage. My reasons for this are varied. One of them is that Zooomr's standard monthly upload limit for basic accounts is 100MB per month, compared to Flickr's measly 20MB. Zooomr also has mastered the geotagging feature, which I plan to use a lot. When viewing this blog, be sure to click through each photo to the Zooomr site, which will give you access to more details as well as all of my public photos. Please enjoy!
